Can SCG offer a [insert format here] side event at the Grand Prix?

As Grand Prix organizers, SCG is responsible for managing the side event schedule, which is approved and sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast at its discretion. Grand Prix attendees are welcome to gather with friends to organize a Magic: The Gathering event featuring any format, as long as they:

  1. Do not require anything in exchange for entry into the event
  2. Do not offer or award any sort of prize
  3. Do so in a way that does not disrupt any aspect of the Grand Prix.

If you can find eight players who wish to play in an event featuring a format not supported by the Magic: The Gathering Tournament Rules, we will be happy to offer such as a casual, 8-player On-Demand Event. Please note that the use of playtest cards is still not permitted in such events.

Will there be a Pro Tour Qualifier on Sunday?

Yes. You can find more information here.

Can I enter more than one Pro Tour Qualifier flight?

No. Players may only participate in one Pro Tour Qualifier flight during Grand Prix Washington DC.
